New Year's Eve! 2012

New Year's Eve afternoon. The end of a strange but interesting year!

Been preparing at home today and done my nails. I'm probably wearing a blue, cream and silver strapless dress from little mistress boutique so I went for blue glitter nails. Using Sally Hansen double duty, rimmel 60 seconds blue varnish and Barry m blue glitter.

For my eyes I've been 'you tubing' silver eyeshadow ideas so hopefully I can sort something out for later before I have too much wine!!

Happy new year!

The end of 2012

I realise after posting the first blog I have never got round to posting any more in this blog. I have been crazily busy! However I would like to remedy this and continue in the new year with my fashion and beauty thoughts and ideas. I also will be, like most other people in the UK I imagine, will be attempting to lose weight in 2013 so I will be adding diet and fitness progress too.

Currently I would like to lose 2 stone and get back to the weight I was about 3/4 years ago. It seems like a lot but if I can put it on then I can take it off!! I need to be healthier and more comfortable in my clothes. I used to be very confident in what I wore and now just try and hide how much larger I have become

My plan is to eat healthier fresher foods and limit the amount of ft and sugar I have (so goodbye Starbucks venti Caramel Lattes and almond croissants for breakfast). I am also planning on finding a fitnesss class to attend, walking more, weight training and general toning, particularly for abs!

In terms of beauty I think I have finally found the best skincare routine for my skin and I am using Cliniques 3 step routine and the city block for spf protection. The only thing I need to find is a good eye make up remover as I find Benefits they're real mascara a real pain to get off. It clings to my lashes!!

New years eve tomorrow - time to start thinking about about my hair and make up for the night!!
Night xx

The beginning...

I have been wanting to write a positive blog about fashion and beauty for a while. Until recently however I couldn't think of a good title and was unsure how I would define my own style. This was until a conversation with my sister who was explaining that she knows nothing about fashion and the girls at her work were discussing chanel coats. She had no idea what they were talking about and simply said - 'If I like it, I buy it'. This got me thinking. I would say that I love fashion and beauty but also, if I like it, I buy it. Fashionable or not. I enjoy reading magazines, blogs, newspaper articles about new fashion. I even spend time going through clothes websites searching for inspiration and ideas. I dream of owning a Chanel bag, a Burberry trench and a pair of black patent Christian Louboutin Pigalle stilettos. (Amongst other things).
After all this dreaming and searching I then look through what's available to me and put together my outfits.
In short I admire and adapt.

If the latest fashion in beauty or clothes doesn't suit me or I don't like then it's not for me, and I wear something I feel comfortable, beautiful and confident in. Body-con dresses make me look vile, ripped jeans make me feel uncomfortable, pale skin makes look ill, orange skin makes me look ridiculous. I use what I like along with the fashions of the moment.

In this blog I aim to share outfit inspirations, beauty ideas, hair ideas and nail ideas. I love the new nail art trend and attempt to do my own as often as possible.

I hope you enjoy, if you do please follow and comment!
